It’s hard to explain the feeling and thoughts I get with my camera in hand while I approach my subject to make a picture. Photography is like a rush for me, taking an image at the right moment to convey the thoughts in my mind is such a thrill. Holding the camera in my hands provides me the ability to document the validity and beauty of the world in which we live. My passion for photography developed because of my desire to give back to humanity and to visually document what inspires me.

The main focus of my work is the likeness of the heroic men and women who serve our country, along with their families who endure hardships during a deployment. To give back to them, I will use my photography to document their lives and family moments at no cost to them.

The natural beauty of the environment in which we live can never be replicated and I enjoy capturing the beauty to share with others. Nature photography is another focus of my work as I want to savor the natural beauty I see. The elements of the Earth’s scenery and natural light are important aspects of my work.

My images are not created to be edited. The environment around me is my prop, my lighting, and my trade. Whether my style comes in color or black and white, how it is created through the viewfinder is how I want it to be seen. The best way to portray any subject is the natural way.

It is important that my work educate and inform the viewer on my subject, they should be engaged in the image, and feel a strong emotion.
